ARE THE CHOPIT BOARDS DISHWASHER SAFE?
If you have a conventional dishwasher, your CHOPIT board is dishwasher compatible. CHOPIT boards can handle heat - up to 80 degrees celsius. If you are concerned about your board warping, place you board on the top rack of your dishwasher - where its a bit cooler.
If you have a commercial dishwasher, with heat exceeding 80 degrees celsius, we recommend hand washing your CHOPIT board.
Please note that the Breadboard is prone to warping in the dishwasher. We recommend you hand-wash Baguette, the Breadboard, to avoid warping and extend longevity.
IS THE CHOPIT PACKAGING RECYCLABLE?
YES. All our packaging is 100% recyclable. The sticker located on your CHOPIT board has been created from innovative eco friendly ingredients. The paper bag, care card and cardboard box can all be discarded into your home recycling bin.
WHAT IS THE MATERIAL USED FOR THE CHOPIT BOARDS?
CHOPIT boards are made from the highest grade of plastic, Ultra high molecular density Polyethylene - commonly known as UHMWPE. Naturally it is a highly durable material with a non-porous surface, making CHOPIT boards non-absorbent, odourless & dishwasher safe.
ARE CHOPIT BOARDS MADE FROM RECYCLED PLASTICS?
YES. At CHOPIT, we believe in a sustainable future. We know plastic chopping boards are the most convenient solution to chop on, given they are mould resistant, low maintenance and dishwasher safe enabling an easy clean-up.
CHOPIT boards are manufactured from 100% Pre-consumer scrap, this allows our boards to be fully recycled plastic material.
WHAT IS PRE-CONSUMER RECYCLED PLASTIC?
In brief, there are two common recycling methods;
1) Pre-consumer recycling, which refers to the waste material leftover in manufacturing facilities
2) Post-consumer recycling, which refers to the recycled material after the end-user has interacted with it
At CHOPIT, we utilise the pre-consumer recycling method. By using this method, we are able to use the scrap material from manufacturers, before the product has reached the consumer. This ensures the plastic is food safe and free from nasty chemicals whilst maintaining integrity towards our sustainability goals.

CHOPIT boards are manufactured in China, the largest plastic manufacturers in the world. By working with our manufacturers in China, we divert plastic waste away from landfill and offer new life to recycled materials.

WILL MY CHOPIT BOARD MARK DURING USE?
Like all chopping boards, your CHOPIT board is knife friendly and will mark during use.
WILL I HAVE TO PAY CUSTOMS & DUTY FEES?
International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, and fees set by your country's regulations. These charges are not included in your order total and must be paid by the recipient upon delivery. The exact amount varies by country, so we recommend checking with your local customs office for an estimate before placing your order.
CHOPIT is not responsible for any additional fees or delays caused by customs processing.
CAN I PURCHASE A CHOPIT BOARD IF I LIVE OVERSEAS?
We are working on making our boards available internationally. Currently, we are shipping to USA, NZ & Australia.
